Overview

Corvid 44 allows AJA Developer Partner applications to access up to four simultaneous SDI input and output streams on a single PCIe card, making it perfect for a wide variety of medium density applications.

Flexible Multi-Format I/O

Each BNC connection on Corvid 44 can be set programmatically as either an input or output and each can support a different video format, provided all format use the same clock timing. Connections can also be linked together to support dual link or 4K/UltraHD formats.

High Frame Rate Support

Corvid 44 supports 4K (4096 x 2160) and UltraHD (3840 x 2160) High Frame Rate (HFR) workflows. Working at frame rates of 48p, 50p and 60p ensure smooth motion for the most demanding 4K and UltraHD applications.

High frame rates are not limited to 4K and UltraHD with Corvid 44, multiple 720p and 1080p HD inputs and outputs are also supported at frame rates up to 50p and 60p, making Corvid 44 extremely flexible for your current and future needs.

AR support with Unreal Engine 4.22

Capture real time footage with Corvid 44 over SDI from high quality cameras, meld your footage with your virtual environment created by the Unreal Engine and send it back out in real time to air  - a growing need for broadcasters, augmented reality (AR) needs and more.

Digital film makers also benefit with these new workflows: On set, enhance your live action VFX work with the ability to see a full composite live during the course of the shoot. This results in fewer reshoots, the ability for actors to understand the virtual environment they are working within for stronger performances and ultimately leads to a range of efficiencies and cost savings with the added benefit of a smoother transition into post production.

Quick Start Guide on using Corvid 44 with Unreal Engine

LTC and Reference Input

Corvid 44 provides one external, switchable LTC/Reference input connection on the back of the card. A second LTC input is available on an internal header for providing additional reference to Corvid 44.

RS-422

A built-in RS-422 connection is available either as an external connection on the full-sized Corvid 44 or as an internal connection on the low profile Corvid 44. RS-422 allows control of external devices for frame accurate ingest and layoffs.
