AJA Debuts BRIDGE LIVE IP at NAB 2026 (April 9, 2026)

AJA introduces BRIDGE LIVE IP, a 1RU IP video gateway that lets professionals seamlessly move compressed IP media into and out of uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110 networks. Built for broadcast, live production, and streaming environments, the solution provides flexible encoding, decoding, and transcoding capabilities, which will be on display at the NAB Show 2026.

BRIDGE LIVE IP supports up to four channels of UltraHDp60 or eight channels of 1080p60 HD, enabling high-density multi-channel workflows across production and distribution environments. Developed in collaboration with Comprimato, the device delivers the core media transport, synchronous multi-channel contribution, REMI, and multi-bitrate streaming capabilities of AJA’s BRIDGE LIVE SDI models but is purpose-built for 10/25 GigE ST 2110 workflows.

With codecs including H.262, H.264, and H.265 and formats such as MPEG-TS, HLS, RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT supported, BRIDGE LIVE IP ensures users can integrate the most popular streaming video formats into an ST 2110 environment, as well as encode and package signals for distribution to viewing platforms in a myriad of streaming formats.

Optional licensing adds support for NDI, JPEG XS, and JPEG 2000, further expanding interoperability for hybrid IP workflows. Organizations can also leverage the technology to securely backhaul multi-channel video over the public internet, providing a cost-efficient alternative to satellite services, dedicated lines, or fiber networks.

BRIDGE LIVE IP feature highlights include:

  • Pure IP transcode capability enables bi-directional ST 2110 I/O to/from NDI, H.262, H.264, H.265, JPEG XS TR07, JPEG 2000 TR01, MPEG-TS, HLS, RMTP, RTMPS, and SRT.

  • Support for four channels of UltraHDp60 or eight channels of HD 1080p60 provides the processing capabilities required to support necessary format and channel counts.

  • Bi-directional NDI-SMPTE ST 2110 conversion, accessible through an optional NDI license, allows users to receive NDI and decode it to ST 2110 or encode incoming ST 2110 sources as NDI. They can also integrate remote NDI and non-NDI equipment via RTP/UDP/SRT and tap into the ST 2110 network for a conduit between CDNs and other delivery mechanisms.

  • HLS input and output give users the ability to deliver to a CDN or for consumption on popular devices and software, such as iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS.

BRIDGE LIVE IP is available now through AJA’s worldwide reseller network for $17,999 US MSRP. Optional NDI functionality can be activated through a perpetual license for $499 US MSRP, while optional JPEG 2000 and JPEG XS licenses start at $1,555 US MSRP. The solution will be on display at NAB Show 2026 in booth N1927 from April 19-22. Read the full announcement.

Butcher Bird Studios builds production pipelines with AJA (February 12, 2026)

From live-streamed events and virtual productions to immersive VR experiences, Butcher Bird Studios supports a range of technically demanding projects both from its Los Angeles facility and remotely. To keep pace with constantly evolving production requirements, the studio relies on AJA gear to deliver dependable signal routing, low-latency performance, and redundancy.

At the core of Butcher Bird’s infrastructure are AJA KUMO SDI routers, including KUMO 3232-12G, KUMO 1616-12G, and KUMO 1616. The routers enable seamless signal distribution throughout the studio, allowing teams to monitor camera ISOs, program feeds, and composited outputs across stages, green rooms, and workspaces. Pre-built KUMO salvos make it easy to instantly switch between primary and backup systems, helping the team maintain continuity during live and mission-critical productions.

For remote jobs and streamlined encoding setups, Butcher Bird frequently leverages AJA Io 4K Plus to provide external Thunderbolt I/O for OBS and vMix. MeyerPro helps keep Microsoft Ignite signals live with AJA (January 28, 2026)

When AV Solutions Provider MeyerPro took on AV for the Microsoft Ignite conference in San Francisco, its team got to work quickly to architect and deploy a robust video infrastructure. Designed to support on-site and remote production needs for the event, the pipeline leveraged fiber conversion, frame sync, and recording technology from AJA. The setup helped ensure smooth production and live delivery of keynotes, technical sessions, and other event highlights to in-venue LED walls and audiences online.

Fiber-based conversion was crucial to ensuring signals seamlessly flowed across multiple locations, including the Moscone Convention Center and the client’s Seattle studio. Recongizing this demand, the MeyerPro team employed AJA FiDO 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI Fiber Mini-Converters to transmit 4K signals from one side of a venue building to the other, and to support the transmission of HD signals to Seattle.

Five Ki Pro GO multichannel H.264/5 recorders were tapped to record four channels of HD and FS4 frame syncs helped ensure ingested content was synced. The team also rackmounted its converters in a DRM Mini-Converter Frame.

Explore the project and MeyerPro’s workflow in more depth by reading our latest customer interview.

How AJA DANTE-12GAM is changing the audio game in HOW (October 20, 2025)

Coastal Community Church Technical Director Kyle LeForge recently provided his take on the AJA DANTE-12GAM 12G-SDI/Dante audio embedder/disembedder in this video. Using the Mini-Converter, he’s helping the church send multiple separate audio stems – including drums, vocals, tracks and cues – from a main worship broadcast facility to satellite campuses via SDI over a Resi stream.

The setup allows volunteers at each remote site to seamlessly mix audio locally to ensure a more engaging worship experience while helping to reduce the church’s gear footprint. Watch the video and read the article to find out why Kyle describes DANTE-12GAM as a workhorse that’s allowed him to cut the devices required of his signal flow chain in half.

Westcoast Pixel elevates live events with AJA Gear (October 14, 2025)

Westcoast Pixel pushes the boundaries of live event production continuously, with stunning large-scale LED concert visuals and immersive 3D projection mapping. Last year, it helped bring the Grammy Awards to life with a dazzling building projection outside Madison Square Garden. Working with BM Creative Laboratory, the team projection mapped 3D visuals across two sets of windows on the PENN 2 building in Manhattan, right above a live orchestra performance.

To power the projection system in one of the world’s brightest environments, they used a suite of laser projectors and relied on a host of AJA Mini-Converters and openGear solutions to support critical signal conversion and distribution needs. Beyond this event, AJA gear has also played a vital role in several other Westcoast Pixel projects, including media server programming and IMAG displays for Christina Aguilera’s latest tour.
