3RU Rack Frame for AJA Mini-Converters
with Redundant Power Supply

The 3RU form factor allows all AJA Mini-Converters to fit cleanly in the rack mount chassis. Modular carrier Mini-Converter mounts are rugged, simple to use, and easy to access from the front or rear of the chassis. 12 carriers are included with the DRM2-Plus, and additional carriers can be purchased individually or in 12-pack bundles. 

DRM2-Plus is available with either a passive cooling faceplate or an active cooling faceplate. The active fan-cooled faceplate is perfect for use with higher wattage-consuming converters or in higher ambient temperature operating environments. We offer the opportunity to upgrade a passive faceplate to the active version ($200 US MSRP* DRM2-PLUS-AF) should your production requirements change.

The DRM2-Plus can be ordered with a single power supply or redundant power supplies. The redundant power supply is often required for mission critical broadcasts and live productions.

Because the DRM2-Plus can deliver up to 288 watts of power, the smaller form factor of the single and dual channel FiDO’s, HA5-Plus, Hi5-Plus, and V2Analog and V2Digital converters, with their low power consumption and smaller size, makes it possible to support up to 24 smaller-sized converters in one DRM2-Plus. This configuration requires the purchase of the optional AJA DRM2 Y-Cable, the DRM2-YC. 

One Y-Cable is required per pair, sold separately, to achieve this converter density.

The next generation AJA Mini-Converters, such as DANTE-12GAM, use a Mini-XLR power connector instead of the standard Mini-Con-X® connector. We offer an adapter cable (DRM2-PLUS-CX) to convert from the Mini-XLR power on the device to the Mini-Con-X connections on the DRM2-Plus. When using six AJA next-generation Mini-Converters, customers should order a Mini-XLR harness which includes (6) Mini-XLR Connectors and (1) Mini-Con-X Connectors to power the active faceplate. 

When using the Mini-XLR harness, a DRM2-PLUS-XC adapter cable is available if needing to add a Mini-Converter that utilizes the Mini-Con-X connector.

The DRM2-Plus ships with 12x carriers, and additional carriers are sold separately as single items or twelve packs. They offer flexible mounting points on the side or bottom of the sled and accommodate a wide range of sizes from the largest next-generation converter to the smallest FiDO.
