AJA Announces Ki Pro Ultra Plus v4.0 Firmware at IBC 2018

New feature enhancements provide greater recording flexibility

Amsterdam, Netherlands, IBC Conference Stand 7.C25 (September 14, 2018)— AJA Video Systems today unveiled free new v4.0 firmware for the Ki Pro Ultra Plus ProRes/DNx recorder/player. Packed with new features, the update advances recording customization – supporting file naming, timecode super out controls, and audio channel mapping.  

Ki Pro Ultra Plus v4.0 Firmware highlights include:

  • Multi-Channel Independent File Naming: Add an additional independent name to each recorded file 
  • Forced Rollover: Option to push recording to second AJA Pak media slot at any time during capture
  • Moveable Timecode (TC): Assign the TC super out to one of six positions 
  • Analog Audio Mapping: Quickly and easily map channel pairs upon input as required without re-cabling

Ki Pro Ultra Plus v4.0 firmware will be available this fall as a free download from AJA’s website. Ki Pro Ultra Plus is now available through AJA’s worldwide reseller network for a US MSRP of $3995.

Ki Pro Ultra Plus is a multi-channel recorder offering 2, 3 or 4-channel simultaneous HD recording up to 1080 50/60p, or in single channel mode, 4K/UltraHD/2K/HD recording and playback, with full HDMI 2.0 input and output (up to 12-bit capture and output). Housed in a 2RU half-rack, it offers extensive I/O flexibility and a range of connectivity options from 3G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 and fiber.
