Under general supervision of the VP of Engineering, the Network Engineer plans, implements, manages, maintains, and troubleshoots all development video and data networks.
Requirements:
- Plan, design, and install cabling (optical, coax, copper), both 12G SDI and 100 GB networks, campus wide.
- Responsible for creating and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices related to the networks usage and data protection.
- Work with Engineers and QA Staff to support projects and lead network issue diagnosis throughout the development lifecycle.
- Manage the networks, test equipment, and endpoints as efficiently as possible and make recommendations for upgrades, expansions, etc. as demands require.
- Collaborate with corporate IT to ensure network security.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of Cisco/Arista CLI.
- Excellent working knowledge of SMPTE 2110 and associated protocols, including PTP and standards such as NMOS.
- Working knowledge of streaming protocols including RTSP, RTMP, and HLS.
- Understanding of Layer 3 Multicasting and Layer 2 Protocols.
- Comfortable with integration with build pipelines for automatic testing.
- Provisioning and use policies.
- General systems administration and network admin skills for Windows, Linux, and Mac.
- Understanding and ability to abide by Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelors Degree in IT or similar field and 5 years of directly related experience or an Associates Degree and 10 years of directly related experience or similar equivalent combination of education and experience.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The base salary for this position is $101,709 – 139,850. This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation or benefits. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience, education, training and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
