Actively lead the manufacturing organization with a team-oriented and customer-focused environment. In conjunction with the other Manufacturing Managers, oversee manufacturing personnel consisting of Assembly, Test, Stockroom, Receiving, and Shipping departments. Responsible for maintaining production and materials within specific guidelines for safety, quality, accuracy, efficiency, labor cost, product rework, scrap, and issuance of material while meeting or exceeding the cost objectives.
Requirements
All areas:
- Oversee, plan and prioritize department activities and resources.
- Establish goals and improvement measures within respective areas. Safety, product, process and procedural quality are departmental performance drivers.
- Develop, deploy, and sustain effective processes to ensure maximum utilization of material and people resources.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of teams and of processes.
- Responsible for all aspects of personnel management from attracting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating employees through annual and on-going reviews of performance, including all stages of corrective action for under performance.
- Identify training requirements and coordinate with Human Resources to provide necessary education for skills enhancement and job enrichment.
- Achieve and maintain open communications between employees and management.
- Continuously monitor and improve key metrics of labor efficiency, delivery performance, and first-time quality (reducing scrap and customer returns).
- Escalate issues as required.
Production/Test:
- Develop and execute strategies that optimize the cycle time of each product in each production line.
- Develop a responsive manufacturing organization with clearly defined authority, responsibility, and goals.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to standardize work instructions, processes, and improve tooling and equipment adequacy.
Shipping:
- Manage daily shipping operations to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the shipping processes are running smoothly and effectively.
- Oversee the resolution of any issue regarding shipped orders.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulation and company policies for shipments.
- Ensure correct shipment of international orders and hazardous material orders.
Stockroom:
- Oversee all materials movement from receipt or manufacture point to final storage and shipping.
- Ensure inventory accuracy in the warehouses and line locations.
- Plans, directs, and monitors all activities in the warehouse.
- Coordinate with or lead excess/obsolete inventory data reporting, disposition, withdrawal and disposal processes with Operations Manager and Engineering.
- Provide data, reports, and analysis as required relative to excess, inventory categorization, and controls.
- Ensure that standard inventory control techniques and procedures are implemented and maintained
- Manage the review, update and maintenance of all equipment, and software required to effectively and efficiently receive, store, and issue materials in support of production.

Education and Experience
- A.S. degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years in a similar position in a similar industry
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The base salary for this position is $83,995 - $115,493. This range reflects base salary only and does not include additional compensation or benefits. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience, education, training and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
