Yes, Ki Pro GO supports analog inputs via two XLR inputs. They can be switched between Line/Mic/+48V Phantom Power Mic Level with a selector switch on the back of the unit. This provides a choice between assigning an embedded audio input to a recording channel or the option to insert a stereo channel from an external audio source like a mixer as desired. Additionally, Ki Pro GO has analog audio monitoring available via RCAs (back panel) and ⅛” headphone with volume control on the front panel.
Ki Pro GO supports up to 2 channels of audio per video channel. The audio input options are embedded off the SDI or HDMI video input, or via the two XLR inputs. Ki Pro GO automatically uses the first two audio channels it sees from an embedded source.

The Ki Pro GO’s destination selection is per channel. Each channel allows the user to select any USB port as the ‘Primary Destination’ and optionally any USB port as the ‘Backup Destination’. This allows for ultimate user flexibility in media configuration.

Yes, the Ki Pro GO, like many AJA products, features a REST interface. Several examples are built into the box. To view the examples, navigate a browser to the Ki Pro GO’s local IP address and add /rest.tmpl to the end of it. This will open the REST test console and show you example commands.

The acronym SMB stands for “Server Message Block” – a high level protocol for talking to shared drives on a network.
NFS is a storage sharing protocol targeted at Linux networks. There is no native support of NFS in Windows environments. Ki Pro GO supports SMB (all dialects), which is the protocol of choice for sharing storage in hybrid Windows/Linux environments and does not support NFS.
Yes, though only one can be used at any one time on any individual Ki Pro GO. Login credentials are stored in presets for easy changeover.
Users should ensure that their SMB shares can accommodate a consistent 150Mb/s of throughput to and from their SMB share to any individual Ki Pro GO system. Of course, if you have 2 Ki Pro GOs connected to the same SMB share, you need at least 300Mb/s of throughput dedicated to recording media from them to ensure performance. Failure to do so could result in failures in both recording and playback.
Users should fulfill the same requirement listed above for the network that is transporting the media to and from their Ki Pro GO systems. Note that this holds true even if the 2 Ki Pro GO systems are talking to 2 separate SMB shares - the network must support 300Mb/s of throughput in this case.
