What kinds of power supplies are safe to use with AJA converters?

Only AJA factory power supplies have been tested and approved for use with AJA converters. However, you can use any 3rd-party +5Vdc power supply as long as the minimum power rating specfied in the converter's user manual is met.

On the HD10AM, what are the maximum cable lengths for video and audio?
A:
The SD/HD inputs are the same as any of our products—250m for SD, 100m for HD w/Belden 1694). (Those are conservative numbers; 300m/150m are typical.) The HD/SD SDI outputs are re-clocked on the HD10AM and HD10AMA. The input signal is de-serialized, processed and re-serialized—so it is a completely reconstituted signal. This means that the box can used as a jitter filter (SDI in to out will reduce jitter quite a bit). The AES cable length depends on the quality of the cable; if it's "good" 24 AWG cable, it can be run to 100 ft.
